Welcoming Sparta Adult Education
November 19, 2020
As a community of life-long learners and loyal advocates of education, we are absolutely overjoyed to welcome Sparta Adult Education students to Streams of Hope! Their first class on our campus kicked off last month and we are so eager to see how this program will continue to make an impact within our neighborhood.
Sparta Adult Education is an educational nonprofit founded by Spartan Public Schools. Their impressive catalogue of programs is an educational bridge for people who are a step or two away from their goals. They offer free programs that teach students how to obtain a high school diploma, prepare for the GED, train for the workforce, and even learn English as a second language.
Though they are based in Sparta, they try to make their class accessible to as many people as possible. In addition to online classes, they also offer satellite classes in Lowell, Cedar Springs, and in downtown Grand Rapids. As of last month, they now offer their GED prep program on our campus every Monday from 9am-4pm.
Sparta Adult Education approached us earlier this year about using our Activity Center and we are so glad we can finally provide a space for their learning.
From food assistance to elementary school tutoring and now, an adult educational program, our campus is truly bursting with excitement and gratitude!
Sparta Adult Education is currently enrolling for the 2020-2021 school year! Learn more here.
