The Carls Foundation is a generous organization that contributes to the welfare of children and nature in addition to funding shortfall capital campaigns. Since 1961, The Carls Foundation has been helping nonprofits that are effective and innovative, which now includes Streams.
Due to rising building costs and unexpected city code requirements, the total cost of our building construction project was just over $2.6 million dollars, leaving a funding shortfall of $316,141. Streams has been debt-free for over 10 years, and we want to maintain this good stewardship of our resources.
To aid us in reaching this goal, we have received a matching grant of $150k from The Carl’s Foundation. This means that every dollar we raise, up to $150k, from now until December 1, 2023, will be matched, helping us meet our goal. So, if we received a $20 donation from a kind donor, The Carls Foundation will also donate $20 to Streams, effectively doubling any of the donations we receive. $20 becomes $40, and likewise, $500 becomes $1,000, and $5,000 becomes $10,000!
We are asking for your help; all gifts given before December 1, will have twice the positive impact on our community. Please note that any overage for capital funding will go to the general fund and directly help hundreds of neighbors.
God is doing INCREDIBLE things here at Streams. Our new space created more opportunities for collaboration, learning, and involvement between programs. For example, Catherine’s Health Center at Streams is getting 140 patients per week, and we now have space for 36 students per session in our tutoring program. Overall, around 1,000 families are coming to Streams for one resource and leaving with many every month. The building is functioning just as many envisioned it would when it was merely a dream five years ago.
The Carls Foundation is a legacy of William (Bill) and Marie Carls and their commitment to charitable activities.
