September Prayer Newsletter

We had a fabulous end to summer at Streams and are excited for fall. As we head into this season, join us in lifting the following requests to our Heavenly Father:

• Food Center: Praise God for the faithful volunteers that help us keep the Food Center running each week. Pray for God to continue to supply the food needed to serve our neighbors.
• Tutoring: Pray for a smooth start to our new assessment program as students will be assessed and then placed with tutors according to their specific areas of struggle. Pray for our tutors. Many are facing challenging situations with other responsibilities and family health. Pray for God to provide them with strength for each day.
• Streams ‘U’: Pray for guidance as we have classes starting this fall. Pray for the Finances 101 class starting this week. We have 8 teens joining the class who are currently in foster care. Pray for good engagement and that the class will help equip these students as they prepare for their future. Pray for the workforce development program and for guidance as we seek to walk alongside neighbors looking for employment.
• SWAG: Pray for students adjusting to the school routine. Pray for safety and relationship building. Pray for continued growth to the SWAG program and for girls to be drawn to the program.
• GEMS: Pray for wisdom as we prepare to relaunch in a few weeks. Pray for girls to build positive relationships and be reminded through GEMS that they are loved and important.
• We praise God for his provision throughout summer. Pray for his continued faithfulness to provide what we need as we head into fall.

Current News:

• Food/Diaper Drive: Our food center is in great need of cereal and diapers. If you, your small group, youth group or church is willing to do a drive let us know! Email makalah@streamsgr.org for more details.
• Thank you! A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our summer community nights a success.With the help of local churches and organizations we invited over 600 people onto our campus during June, July and August. For a recap of these events click here.
