October Prayer Newsletter

Fall is in full swing here at Streams, with programs up and running. As we head into October, join us in lifting the following requests to our Heavenly Father:

• Food Center: We continue to see an increased need for food in our neighborhood, with decreased donations. Pray for God’s continued provision in providing enough food to serve our neighbors.
• Tutoring: Praise God for great tutors that helped the assessment process go smoothly. Pray for tutors to develop good relationships with students as they meet on a weekly basis.
• Streams ‘U’: Praise God for good engagement with the finance class in September and for the teens that participated. As we continue plans for future workshops, give wisdom and open doors to new opportunities.
• SWAG: Pray for students to engage with one another and grow through the program. Pray for wisdom as we seek ways to expand the structure and topics discussed.
• GEMS: Praise God for a great launch to the new year of GEMS, we have over 30 girls signed up. Pray for the girls to get along and be reminded how much they are loved.
• Sparta GED: Sparta continues to work at Streams helping adults earn their GED or High School Diploma. Praise God for the 90 students they are actively engaged with. Pray for God to continue blessing their work at Streams and around Kent County.
• We praise God for his provision in every season. As we look toward fall and winter we pray for the financial resources to continue supporting our programs and neighborhood.

• Food Drive: Our food center is still in great need of food donations to compensate for the increased numbers. If you, your small group, youth group or church is willing to do a drive let us know! Email makalah@streamsgr.org for more details.
• Snack Bags: If your small group, youth group or church is looking for a simple and fun way to support Streams, snack bags are a great option. We pass them out to kids at tutoring and Food Center and are currently in need of more. If you are interested in learning how you can make some for us, email makalah@streamsgr.org for more details.
