May Prayer Newsletter

In every season our Lord’s faithfulness is evident. Join us in lifting the following requests to our gracious Lord this month:

• Food Center: Pray for the resources to continue providing food for our neighbors. Pray for the difficult situations our neighbors face with health, finances and housing. Pray that God will meet their needs and for Streams to be a place of hope.
• Tutoring: As the semester of tutoring wraps up, plans for summer sessions are in full swing. Prayers for the 75 students signed up. The summer will include more group activities and learning games. Prayers for the 10 tutors that will be planning these fun educational activities.
• GEMS: Praise God for a great end to the GEMS school year. GEMS girls learned about how much they are loved and how they can share that love with others. Pray for girls to remember what we have learned over the past year. Prayers for safety and health over the summer.
• Streams ‘U’: We praise God for the relationships that have formed through Streams ‘U’. We will be starting a book club surrounding the topic of healing from trauma and hardship. Pray for good engagement and discussion. Prayers for wisdom as we look for speakers/facilitators to lead classes on the topics of healthy relationships, parenting and personal growth.
• Spring is an exciting time as we plan for summer programming. Pray for God’s continued provision in this season and the financial resources to start summer well.

Current News

• Diaper Drive: Many of our neighbors are in need of diapers, and we are low on stock. We are in great need of sizes 4-6. If your church, small group or organization would be willing to do a diaper drive, let us know! Reach out to makalah@streamsgr.org or heidi@streamsgr.org for more details.
• Childcare: We need individuals to help with childcare during our Streams ‘U’ Book Club this summer. The book club will take place on 4-5 Wednesdays in late May and June. Reach out to sue@streamsgr.org for the dates and more information.
